James Periconi
Jim Periconi published the essay "De Lillo’s Underworld: Toward a New Beginning for the
Italian American Novel" in the Spring 2000 issue of VIA: Voices in
Italian Americana.
He has also recently published book reviews and essays on Italian American
cultural subjects in Italian Americana
and the New York Law Journal. A member of IAWA’s
Board of Directors, Jim is co-proprietor of Round Hill Books, Briarcliff
Manor, New York, which
specializes in used and out-of-print Italian American and Italian books,
among others. A partner in a New York
law firm, Jim studied English and Comparative Literature at Columbia
College and, as a Danforth Graduate Fellow, at the University
of Virginia, before attending law
school at New York University.
